The highest pass of Amphu Laptsa (5,845m/19,176ft) must be crossed on the trek from the Island Peak to Mera Peak.On the other hand, Island Peak includes glacier travel, moderate snow and ice climbing. It is situated right in the heart of the Khumbu area. Although, it is dwarfed by the enormous Lhotse Face to the north, the views from the summit are truly exceptional.Anyone with sound health and previous high-altitude trekking experience can attempt this overwhelming trek. One can have spare days to properly acclimatize with the varying altitude and weather. Attempting both Mera and Island peak can prove to be an opportunity for those daring to take adventure and exploration to the next level.
